Cuts AO Pants Review: Solid Look, but Can It Hang with the Big Leagues?

Cuts AO Pants Review: Solid Look, but Can It Hang with the Big Brands?

In this video, Alex Nicoll digs into the Cuts AO Pants, breaking down quality, fit, and style to see if these pants measure up against heavyweights like Lululemon. If you’re wondering whether they’re worth the price or just another overhyped release, Alex keeps it real. Enoy the video.

Oh, and Cuts has already released their Black Friday Deals, so don’t miss out.

Alex isn’t here to sugarcoat anything. Right out the gate, he lets you know these Cuts pants come close but don’t quite hit the mark, especially stacked up against his go-to, the Lululemon ABCs. First impression? The fabric is a little rougher than expected.

Comfortable? Sure. Luxe? Not really. They’re sturdy and might hold up against snags better, but they’re missing that buttery softness you expect when you’re paying top dollar.

Then there’s the pocket situation. Cuts went for these angled pockets on the front, which, yeah, make it easy to slide your hand in but don’t hold much. According to Alex, it’s shallow, so your phone’s sitting there halfway out, practically begging to jump ship every time you sit down. It’s not a deal-breaker, but Alex is used to a pocket that doesn’t play games.

Fit-wise, they got some things right. The taper through the legs and waist is on point—it’s got that clean, tailored look without trying too hard. But then you hit the ankles, and it’s like they lost the plot. The hem’s loose, giving it a laid-back vibe, but Alex would rather not have to cuff ‘em every time he wants that tight look around the ankle.

Now let’s talk quality—mixed bag here. The zipper feels solid, but he’s catching frays around the ankles, which shouldn’t be happening when you’re dropping $124. At that price? You want perfection. And let’s be real, Lululemon has the backup plan if anything rips; you walk in, swap ‘em out, and roll out with a fresh pair. Cuts? You’re probably not getting that.

One thing they nailed? The color. That slate shade is a killer. Straight out of the box, both he and his girl noticed it—it’s that good. But even with the right color, Alex isn’t giving a full green light here. If you’re already loyal to Cuts or spot them on sale, maybe they’re worth it. Otherwise? He says the Lululemon ABCs are the gold standard for a reason.
